One of the 88 Pianos comes to Brower Park

From Sing For Hope...
This summer, from June 1st through June 16th, the Sing for Hope Pianos return to our city streets. In one of New York City’s most vibrant public art installations, 88 artist-designed pianos (one for each key on a piano) are placed in parks and public spaces throughout the 5 boroughs for anyone and everyone to enjoy.

Visual artists from Sing for Hope’s roster of over 1,000 Volunteer Artists and local community members were selected through an open application process and donate their time and talent to create this beautiful gift to our city: 88 unique and interactive piano artworks.
Brower Park's piano was dedicated by the Sing for Hope Youth Chorus. They say:
The theme of our piano is "Journey to Greatness."  As a group, we decided on values that were important to keep with us on our path to achieving our goals.  This inspired our design and we hope it will inspire others to "Dream Big!"

IT'S MY PARK DAY!

On a beautiful summer day, volunteers and residents from the Crown Heights area gathered together at Brower Park. On "IT'S MY PARK DAY", adults and children planted over 500 bulbs that would turn into lovely flowers adding to the parks charm. This event brought the community together and some neighbors met for the very first time. The mission of this event is to create a sense of peace and joy for families and people passing by. Come check out Brower Park and see the amazing flowers!
